About Bruitin

The word ‘bruitin’, as I understand it, is Erse for ‘mashed potato’. ‘Bruit’, on its own, is a noise in the blood or, alternatively, a rumour. Your choice.

The teapot shown in the graphic stands in our garden. It was a gift from Emma Neale. Through some odd associations, none of which are of Emma’s making, it has come to symbolise Teapot Buddhism. More on this elsewhere.

I guess the site will get called a blog. However, it’s less a succession of day to day observations than an exploration of the past. More of a memoir, then. Let’s call it a blemoir and see what happens.

Items will generally be posted Wednesday’s and, hopefully, Saturdays or Sundays, or more frequently still if the mood takes me.
